Keratosis Pilaris Home remedies | Natural Remedies for Keratosis Pilaris

It doesn’t normally cause any pain or discomfort unless the bumps get inflamed. Such red bumps are referred to as keratosis pilaris rubra faceii.

1. Baking Soda.
Mix enough water in two teaspoons of baking soda to make a paste. Dampen your skin and gently scrub with the paste in a circular motion. Wash it off with warm water and then moisturize your skin. Repeat a few times a week.

2. Coconut Oil.
Combine 2 parts of extra virgin coconut oil and 1 part of each white granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Apply the mixture to the affected area and gently scrub for 2 – 4 minutes Rinse with water. Repeat regularly for best results.

3. Yogurt.
The lactic acid present in yogurt provides relief from the excess deposition of keratin in the hair follicle. It also provides relief from the dryness and irritation. Apply 3 – 4 tablespoons of yogurt on the affected area.
Leave it on for 15 minutes before bathing. Repeat regularly for best results.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory properties which reduce the swelling, cleanses the skin, prevent infections and heal KP quickly. Using a cotton ball, apply organic apple cider vinegar to the affected area. Leave it to dry completely. Repeat daily for best results.
